Prime Learning Center's tutors can assist your student through each step of college admissions, from choosing schools to organizing a personal timeline to demonstrating skills and experiences on application forms. We have particular expertise in helping students with the difficult task of formulating and writing college essays and the Common Application, the application used by most schools today.
Early Action/Early Decision applicants should begin their applications now to meet the early deadline. Regular Decision applicants can get a head start on their college applications.

☞ Common Application Process
Our primary focus is the Personal Essay. Over two sessions for a total of four hours, our counselors will work with your student to brainstorm ideas, discuss the do's-and-don'ts, and design a unique, attention-grabbing Personal Essay. We will also discuss the Short Answer questions regarding extracurricular activities. Finally, time will be spent reviewing the rest of the Common Application and refining responses.

Individual schools will often have their own supplements to the Common Application. These supplements consist of extra essays and more detailed responses.

Important Information Regarding Covid-related School Closures:
PLC will conform to state and FCPS policy regarding in-person classes. If FCPS schools shut down and transition to remote learning, then PLC will follow suit and change all in-person classes to live-online instruction. We are committed to offering our students the same quality of education while preserving the community’s health and safety.
Before registering for our classes, please be aware that in the event of a switch to live-online instruction we will not offer refunds for purchased tutoring hours.
