Prime Learning Center (PLC) is now accepting enrollment for the 2026 Summer Program, beginning June 22, 2026. Our summer courses are designed to keep students engaged, strengthen foundational skills, and prepare them for upcoming classes and standardized tests.

☞ One-on-one tutoring consists of 20 hours. This package includes six 3-hour sessions with the tutor, in addition to a diagnostic test and simulation test.
We ask that parents and students review the following information regarding our Live Online ACT courses before classes start.
- One-Time Class Material Pick-Up: All course materials are provided in advance. Please pick up the full course packet at our Fairfax location on Saturdays between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. If you are unable to attend during this time, please contact us to schedule an appointment.
- Live Online Classes (Zoom): Classes are conducted via Zoom. Meeting links and passwords will be sent via email on the morning of each session. Students should create a Zoom account in advance.
- At-Home Diagnostic & Simulation Tests: All full-length tests will be completed at home in a self-proctored format. Test materials are included in the course packet, and answer keys will be provided via email on the evening of each test day.

2025 TJ Admission Prep Group Summer Course
TJHSST Admission Eligibility Requirements:
- New Requirements : Enrolled in both math and science honors courses. Enrolled in one additional honors course or identified as a Young Scholar*. (*Information regarding potential waivers will be forthcoming.)
- Math Requirements: Applicants to the freshman class at TJHSST must be taking a full-year of Honors Algebra 1 for high school credit or a higher level math course in grade 8 to apply to TJHSST. Algebra 1, Part A does not Tueisfy the math prerequisite for freshman application. Your school must verify the math course you are enrolled in for grade 8 on the application form.
- Grade Point Average (GPA): All applicants to TJHSST, at the completion of 7th grade, must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher in order to be eligible to apply.
TJHSST Freshman Application Key Components:
Students will be evaluated on their grade point average (GPA); a portrait sheet where they will be asked to demonstrate Portrait of a Graduate attributes and 21st centaury skills; a problem-solving essay; and experience factors.
- Complete the Student Portrait Sheet: Students will demonstrate Portrait of a Graduate attributes and 21st Century Skills.
- Problem-Solving Essay: May include math and/or science, but will most likely be a test mainly of the students’ ability to organize and communicate conclusions about a complex topic.

2022 Summer English Enrichment Course
☞ 12 Sessions in Six-Week Program: Monday, June 18 through Friday, July 27
Summer English Enrichment courses help elimentary school, middle school and high school students in four vital language areas: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Mechanics, and Composition. Twice-weekly meetings mean students stay in practice through the summer, building vocabulary and critical thinking abilities and readying themselves for upcoming fall classes. Classes are capped at 6 students, creating a comfortable environment in which to share and explore new concepts. All classes are capped at 5 students to allow for individualized attention. Levels are determined by a diagnostic test on 3:00-4:00pm, Saturday, June 16 at Fairfax Branch. All level diagnostic tests will take place at Fairfax Branch, regardless of the location of the class.

2020 Summer Program SAT Subject Test Prep (1-on-1 Tutoring Only)
SAT Subject Tests are not connected to specific textbooks or teaching methods, but instead reflect what is taught in typical high school courses. For most subjects, students should consider taking the test at the end of the course.
- Tutors will provide the best test taking strategies, the best test preparation strategies, and help students with any problem areas.
- One-on-One classes allow for more personalized instruction for your student's needs. These classes are ideal for students who prefer private tutoring or whose schedules are too complicated for standard classes.
